A new event series in Basel curated by FILMEXPLORER.

Four themes, four films: an asylum centre, an elementary school, sirens, and the perspective of a renowned architect. The "Re-imagining the Public Space" series expands the cinematic experience through conversations in real public spaces.

5 September 2026 – Federal Asylum Centre Basel
Guided walk followed by an open-air film screening at Erlenmattplatz (Erle Perle).

19 September 2026 – Christoph Merian Primary School
Film screening at Stadtkino Basel, followed by a guided walk.

15 October 2026 – Sirenic walk through Basel
Film screening at Stadtkino Basel, followed by a guided walk.

24 October 2026 – S_AM Swiss Architecture Museum
Visit to the exhibition at S_AM, followed by a film screening at Stadtkino Basel and a guided walk.
